Pegasus is well-known for its selection of authors for lists that almost always comprise work from previously published authors. Also accepted is work via literary agents, some writers who already have acquired media status, and also from a selection of specialists and educationists. For the right book and with chosen authors, we are prepared to negotiate a suitable advance of royalties.
When submitting to this imprint, please make sure that you have the correct credentials to do so. It is very rarely that we will accept submissions under this imprint from an unknown and previously unpublished author.
Under this Pegasus imprint, we publish fiction, non-fiction, educational and other high profile manuscripts.
Please note that the evaluation of your work will take place in accordance with the Submissions Guidelines.
VANGUARD PRESS
Vanguard Press has always taken pride in helping and guiding our new, untried and first-time authors in the publishing of their work.
We will always endeavour to give an informed opinion as to the merits of the writing submitted to us. At all times, therefore, our aim is to be supportive to our Authors at each stage of the publication process.
Our aim is to expedite the process of production to ensure that an Author’s book is published and marketed strategically within the Media.
Although every effort is made to place an author’s work in the public arena, we cannot guarantee or predict individual success. We believe no publisher is able to do this; however, using our particular expertise we can give the book and its author the necessary platform which would be beneficial and often essential to their future joint success.
We will always attempt to help and support new and inexperienced authors in publishing their work, provided of course that it is of an acceptable standard, has sufficient merit, interest, and should be acceptable to the Media.
Suitable subjects for consideration include romantic fiction, humour, science fiction, crime, horror, adventure – real and imagined, autobiographies, biographies, women's issues, war memoirs of both WWI and WWII and other memorable world events including more recent conflicts such as Iraq, plus travel, sport, cookery, emotional narrative, poetry, historical romantic fiction and historical non-fiction, political satire. We can also extend our consideration to works of other genre.
NIGHTINGALE BOOKS
At Nightingale Books we publish quality children’s books. In addition to this, we also consider and publish suitable contemporary poetry, fables and myths, chick lit (which is specialist literature for age group 20-plus women), together with other suitable material for teenagers and young readers. Also, we consider for publication educational books for children of a wide variety of differing ages.
In particular, we are currently expanding our lists of educational books to encompass the requirements and the needs of people whose first language may not be English. Authors of this type of material should be experienced in this field. We would also welcome submissions from teachers who see a need for this type of book.
Our reputation is well-known for publishing selected books for children of all ages and our book lists contain a choice of delightful, illustrated and non-illustrated books for a wide range of readers.

The content of the books is specific for adults only and there are no images or illustrations within the pages of any of these books. They are simply designed for the pleasure of adults who may wish to have this specialist reading.
We are interested in receiving submissions within Erotica under various classifications:

When submitting your manuscript to us, we do not consider publishing any books which contravene the Law of the Land or International Law. We do, however, carefully choose the very best in erotica books.
