General Background
The Pegasus
Elliot MacKenzie Ltd publishing house has established
roots in the historic City of Cambridge. Over many past years it has
produced the books of gifted authors from all over the UK and world-wide.
Who
We Publish
Currently, much of the book
publishing by larger publishers only relates to established writers
and those with celebrity status whereas Pegasus, whilst accounting for
the effects of this trend, also produces the work of first-time authors.
Being an independent, traditional
publisher specialising in quality literature and non-fiction books,
the Company numbers amongst its authors those with diverse and excitingly
new talents which Pegasus is dedicated to encouraging and promoting.
Our publishing house concentrates
– for adult and child readers – on the best fiction created
by authors from many different parts of the world. They often contribute
fascinating details with their diverse talents and use material and
experiences from their unusual, exciting backgrounds.
Alongside such celebrities
as, for example, the many talented writers whose work is currently acclaimed,
we have, some well-known newscasters, the author of a highly popular
TV series, an acknowledged martial arts expert, a specialist in English
spelling, and a popular gardener. Not only do we publish successful
first-time authors from this country but we have many from all over
the world.
Benefits
All our authors benefit
from the technological advances in the field of publishing that Pegasus
has adopted. This is, of course, using modern methods of production
of the books as well as creating and using computerised advanced techniques
as an integral part of our extensive support for our authors’
books. Therefore, we ensure we employ fully coloured, specially designed
covers which create the necessary visual impact on the would-be reader.

c) Educational

Our Reputation
Creating and maintaining
a strong reputation and using the latest techniques –
Because we consider for publication the work of authors on such a wide
range of genre, and select these on the merit of the topic and the writing,
the main publishing house has developed over the years an impressive
and lengthy list of books. This fact has attracted widespread interest
and support from authors, and the publishing business press. Each author
is deservedly highlighted on our website in sequence once their books
have been published. Those currently in print are listed fully on our
website. We maintain this facility alongside our other marketing strategies
to enhance the public awareness of new authors’ books.
Included are novels with
a compelling, unusual and challenging story line, a number of books
of humour and human interest, a very strong non-fiction portfolio, popular
reference titles, together with books from established and previously
published authors.
We particularly give consideration
to manuscripts submitted by well-known figures in the public arena.
Some of these are not quite famous enough yet to be snapped up by the
largest publishing houses but have produced a very readable and well-researched
book. Many find that their careers benefit from having had a book published
recently and the fact of their names being in print maintains that each
celebrity concerned is more relevant subsequently to the public.
