Dahlia has just given birth and wakes up in the hospital to discover that her boyfriend Milo has vanished. Believing he has abandoned them should be shock enough, but she soon learns that he has only six months to live. Dahlia's one of the lucky ones, she has lots of time left, but her boyfriend - he's either lying, or he's defying the system and they aren't going to let him get away with that.

Meanwhile, Dahlia is forced to deal with the impending deaths of some very close loved ones and returns to her hometown, where she finds herself falling back into familiar comforts with an old flame.

April Coughlan Wong has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from the University of Alberta and a Graduate Certificate in Journalism from the University of Queensland. With over fifteen years' writing and reporting experience in television and advertising, April is thrilled to be applying her passion for the written word to her first love of fiction. April lives in Calgary, Canada, with her husband, two daughters and golden retriever.
