The Playing Fields

Mary M

This collection of poems, varying from simple light-hearted children's sing-song rhymes to some deeply profound, thought-provoking verses, is intended to challenge as well as entertain.

In The Children we encounter the protagonists, each unique in their human expression of their Divinity. The Playing Fields symbolises the setting. Fallen from a state of pure perfection to a hellish place to play, it needs healing and restoring. The ongoing battle of Dark versus Light and Demons versus Humanity is depicted in The End Game.

Will new playing fields be dreamed up and manifested by Humanity before all its children perish into oblivion? Who will bring Creation back to its original state of perfection?

You, when you reclaim your long-lost pure child-like being. In your innocence you believe that all is possible. In the infinite realm of boundless possibility at Sacred, Spirit, Soul level, it absolutely is!

Mary was born in Australia, lived in Malta and finally moved to the UK, over twenty years ago, where she currently lives.

She has kept a journal of her thoughts and life experiences since the age of sixteen. Her other publication, Liberation at Long Last, by M. Mallia (XLibris © 2014), is a touching semi-autobiographical account, in novel form, of her inner journey alongside that of her mother's, inspired by her late mother's brutal suicide twenty years earlier. It depicts how despair and death are triumphantly overcome by love, faith and letting go.

Mary's love of poetry can be traced back to her secondary school days. She has previously published two volumes of poetry, A Return to the Love to the Heart of God and The Playing Fields.
