The Silver Line in Every Rhyme

Akbar Khan

Written during his years as a student in the city of Barcelona, Akbar Khan has produced a collection of poetry spanning a diverse array of topics from dating and the night life, to age and even charity. At its heart though is the recurring essence of the city itself - its people, its places and its parties.

Combined with surreal illustrations, the reader is presented with a truly unique book of verse, unlike any you will have come across before.

Having always demonstrated a talent in the ability to rhyme, Akbar made it his New-Year's Resolution to write a poem a day. Always making obnoxious statements and never living up to them, Akbar had gradually built up his catalogue of poems in 2014 and 2015. Constantly reciting his most recent work to his friends and family, he met the father of one of his class-mates, João, who had expressed a deep interest in his latest project.

Together they built a friendship and partnered up in the execution of the unique approach of having poems accompanied with an illustration.
