As an adopted child, Emma battled a lot with her own emotions. Especially her question about her foster parents' love towards her, that it was never real, and being bullied in school as she grows up and not having anyone to talk to was traumatizing.
Emma wanted to do a lot of things as she was growing up, but never had her mother's support and she was never, not once, there for her. It took her years to pursue the things she has been longing for in life and she finally reach it with the support of Brice and Emil on her side.
