The Punknowle Plot

Tony Phillips

After having been asked to leave his previous teaching position, Sebastian Punknowle needs to find himself employment. Several unsuccessful interviews later, he takes desperate measures to secure the Head of History position at Lord Bilgebury College for Boys. Punknowle soon assesses the competition in the other members of staff and lines himself up with a useful ally in the student bully.

Several unfortunate incidences occur at the school, which do no harm to Punknowle's move through the ranks. But his aims don't end there. Punknowle has political ambitions. Is it South Cambridgeshire today, Downing Street tomorrow?

Punknowle's sharp mind and ruthless brain help him through the school academic year. Cricket matches, exam inspections, a trip to America and a visit to his relatives all make up this eventful time. But will it all start to unravel for Punknowle?
