Joe Makin, a born and bred Geordie is drawn to London's bright lights. He loses his successful business, quickly followed by his marriage. He finds work with P.I. Jimmy Daly who runs a small detective agency in Holborn, Joe proves to be a natural investigator.

He takes on a "usual" case for a wealthy attractive client who suspects her husband is being unfaithful. A few weeks pass and Joe realises the case was far from "usual". He attempts to discover who his missing client really is and also her true motive for hiring him.
London life suddenly becomes very dangerous when his investigations reveal a trail leading back to Moscow and The Ukraine. After a vicious attack leaves him hospitalised, he's unsure who he can trust anymore. However, he knows for certain, they won't stop until they find him and kill him!
