Alana Mackay

By all accounts, Elena and her sister live a happy childhood. Their father is compassionate and well respected, and protects them from the evils of the world around them. After a fateful trip to Moscow, the Czar sends her father to fight in the war, and Elena is promised in marriage to the son of their evil neighbour. Although she does her duty and tries to do what's right, her world begins to crumble around her and her strength can no longer sustain her. When her husband is appointed to be the next czar of Russia, she makes a choice that could cost her her life.

Alana Mackay was born and raised on a farm in central Manitoba, Canada. Her parents instilled in her a love for music, and so when she was grown, she moved from Manitoba to obtain her music degree in Alberta.

It was there that she met her wonderful husband.
Alana's been married for over twenty-five years and has four grown children. She has devoted much of her life to raising them to be good, productive adults. Alana teaches private piano and singing lessons, and is actively involved in local music festivals and children's musical theater programs.

When she is not busy with her family and students, Alana can be found at her kitchen table pursuing her new found passion in writing. Nameless is her first book.
