Ken Crowther has always loved writing and from an early age at school, wrote in the back of exercise-books, some of which he still has. After his apprenticeship in London Parks, he ran his own gardening company, designing, building and maintaining gardens. During this time he wrote articles for local newspapers as well as monthly gardening magazines.

He joined BBC Essex as a presenter over twenty years ago and now has a three-hour morning programme each Saturday. During this time, he was a guest presenter on the television programme 'Gardeners Diary' for three years.

In 2004 Ken saw the successful publication of his first book 'Jack the Gardener' a tale of two young men growing up in the sixties as gardener apprentices in London Parks. His new book 'Two Weeks in Nice' follows these boys on their holiday in France.

This book was added to our catalog on Tuesday 11 August, 2009.
